This past weekend, Benmarl Winery Sponsored it’s crew of 6 swimmers  to swim across the Hudson River at the 10th Annual Great Newburgh to Beacon swim.  The Swim is a wonderful opportunity to swim across the Hudson River and raise funds to benefit the non-profit volunteer organization River Pool at Beacon.

We have a beautiful view of the Hudson River from up here at Benmarl Winery, and we want to keep the river looking beautiful and most importantly, clean. This swim was not just about the Hudson River, but the communities around it as well.  In the recent wake of Toshi Seeger’s passing, her husband and folk legend, Pete Seeger, graced us with playing some of his standards.  This year’s swim was dedicated to Toshi for all of her hard work and her commitment to the River Pool Project.

Thanks to all who donated to our cause and came to support us at the swim! Together, the Benmarl Team raised over $900 dollars. We want to make this an annual event for the Benmarl Winery crew, and you can swim next year too! Just Click here to read more about it.
